Since 1991, Danny Light, the Club Steward, and his wife, Laura, have been been the heart and soul of the Club.   They have seen many changes over the years but their commitment and dedication to the Club have remained unchanged. There is always a warm welcome when Danny or Laura are behind the bar.

Keen to promote a strong family friendly ethos, both Danny and Laura are assisted from time to time by their daughters, Sam and Nikki and their husbands, Ian and Steve.  Danny and Laura are also blessed with four lovely grandchildren.

As well as ensuring that the bar is well managed and stocked with a wide variety of drinks, Danny also regularly organises social events, including quiz nights, race nights and live music.  And, at Christmas each year, he arranges special Christmas parties for the senior citizens of Woldingham.  In the summer months, Danny’s fun days and garden fêtes are very popular with all age groups.

Laura has a full-time job in education.  However, she takes full charge of the Club’s food and catering. Her delicious, home made meals served on Friday evenings and at Saturday and Sunday lunch times are a ‘must’ for members.
